SCOTT CRAMER
VICE PRESIDENT OF FINANCE

Scott Cramer's background involves corporate financing,   real estate sales and film production. Scott ran  a film public company on the U.S. OTC/BB markets which he eventually sold to a resource company. Scott currently holds his real estate license in Vancouver,  B. C.  He is in good standing with the Vancouver Real Estate Board, B.C. Real estate Association and the Canadian Real Estate Association. Four years ago Scott acquired and developed Wildfire International Media Inc. which focuses on corporate development, fund raising, sales and distribution of film and television productions to market.

He has been involved in nine film projects over the last two years, with a special focus on working with First Nations in Northern British Columbia involving stories of historical perspective and adventures.  Scott has a number of production credits to his name. As a Balanced Producer, Scott has a good understanding of film finance and sales.  He feels the key to financial success is the insistence on a common sense business approach by applying the three principals of successful filmmaking:

  1. Marketable story
  2. Good direction
  3. Great acting

Since 2007 Scott has been involved with producers from Canada and Los Angeles and has recently worked on a number of film productions as Executive Producer, Line Producer and Finance Producer.  He feels that the film industry in  one of the fastest growing due to online  demands and studio demand for content.

Scott works with competent professionals,  thus providing oversight to  each project through  finance, production and sale.  He  makes every effort to protect invested capital by mitigating risk in each project  by making the assets secure and   insisting on insurance  bonding.  His first priority is producing high quality content that will be readily marketable, thus attaining investor objectives and being a credit to the film industry.


 

SURAJ GOHILL

Prior to joining Odyssey, Suraj was Chief Financial Officer at Ivanhoe Pictures, Chaired and capitalized by mining entrepreneur Robert Friedland. While at Ivanhoe, Suraj was instrumental in helping shape the company’s global strategy as well as spearhead certain key initiatives, including Ivanhoe’s partnership with Blumhouse Productions and India’s Phantom Films. The collaboration called for the development and production of a slate of Hindi language genre (thriller) films aimed primarily at the Indian audience.

Prior to joining Ivanhoe, Suraj was a Sr. Vice President with CIT Group, heading its independent project film finance activities. Suraj, a 19 year banking executive, has been involved in over 85 individual film and corporate slate transactions totaling over $3 Billion.

During his career, Suraj has been involved with a myriad of film financing structures: from insurance backed film slates to single picture multiple country co-productions, from studio slate financings to gap and super gap film loans, and from tax shelter based financings to sale leaseback schemes. Suraj has led, structured, or participated in financings with every major US Studio and independent production companies such as Revolution Studios, Spyglass Entertainment, Castle Rock Pictures, and Gold Circle Films.


 

ROB STRAIGHT
HEAD OF CONTENT MANAGEMENT

With 30 years experience as both a producer and a distributor of film and television content, over his career Rob has made films with Academy Award winning actors, F. Murray Abraham, (“By The Sword”) Louis Gosset Jr. (“Managua”).

Rob holds a Bachelor of Commerce Degree (Marketing) from UBC.


 

KAREN O'HARA
EAST COST PRODUCTION & DEVELOPMENT

Karen O’Hara is Odyssey Media’s Executive in charge of US East Coast Production & Development. Based in New York, Karen brings extensive experience in the entertainment industry and adds the necessary executive depth to further drive Odyssey Media’s expansion into the US film, television and online media market.

O’Hara brings 20 years of solid entertainment experience to Odyssey Media. From story analyst, documentary researcher, acquisitions consultant for Home Box Office (HBO), to creative producer and writer on the Cinemax After Dark series; followed by seven years as Vice President, Original Movies at Syfy Channel where she developed and supervised production on over 150 movies in the U.S., Canada, Mexico, Australia, New Zealand, Bulgaria and Romania, including the cult classic Sharknado.
